Well, Hello There:
In addition to scientific research, I develop business software and websites with the aim of creating a new product or service that consumers will want. My name is Milovan Tomašević, ½ Software Engineer, ¼ Open Source enthusiast and ¼ Manager. I am currently employed by NLB d.d. as a Data Solutions Consultant. My focus in the Data Mangment is mostly on Backup&Restoring a database that contains a very large amount of data.
Planning a strategy for backup and restoring a database is essential for any manufacturing-like database. It helps reduce loss and increase data availability. The full strategy consists of planning a backup with documentation, and then testing restore options to make sure you’re ready for the worst.
Awareness of the types of data loss and risks associated with data loss is essential to preventing data loss that may be a major cost to your business.
My engagement help businesses improve performance and make the necessary changes to succeed. It also helps clients reduce IT costs and deliver a better quality service by enabling consolidation available on 6 known instances of the database: IBM DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle Database, and SQL Server engines.
I worked on HPC RIVR project as a HPC (High Performance Computing) Consultant at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, Slovenia. I am from Serbia and I worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad University, Serbia, as a researcher for six years. And I worked as an iOS Developer (that is, I developed applications for iDevice) at a company working on the development of Internet of Things, also known as Industry 4.0.
I obtained a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the same faculty, with a dissertation paper called '’Adaptive Model for Supply Chains Management in Small and Medium Enterprises’‘ (as well as an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and an MSc in Computer Sciences).
Something else, my education isn’t the end, I’m currently working on my second doctorate, which is focused on A Fuzzy Adaptive Model for Feasibility Assessment of High Performance Computing Architectures.
My main areas of interest are:
I moved to Slovenia only a month ago and I am currently employed at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, where I specialize in the use of HPC in industry.
